Anyone using the coolbit registry hack with Windowx XP? I remember people having problems with win2K, so thought I would ask...and where can I find the key again? :)

Thanks! I hated to play with the registry for nothing, but if it works well, I'm on it :)

You using XP Pro?

I'm using coolbits in XP. You have to enter it manually the little file won't do it.

I had no problems using Coolbits in Win2k Pro and I didn't even bother to install it when I moved over to WinXP Pro since I've mainly been using NVMax to oc and tweak my GF3 Ti500, but I just looked in my display properties and it looks like NVMax put in Coolbits for me.:)

Does the NVMax have a setting that allows you to set the monitor to 'optimal'? I am not sure what the highest refresh rate my NEC AccuSync 90 19" runs at, but I remember one of these tweaks adds an optimal setting to the drop-down box that has all the settings (60,70,72,75,100,etc...)..that's what I was looking for :)

Do you mean this Accusync 90 monitor? If so then:

<< Resolutions Supported:
640 x 480 @ 60 to 160 Hz
800 x 600 @ 55 to 153 Hz
832 x 624 @ 55 to 144 Hz
1024 x 768 @ 55 to 120 Hz
1152 x 870 @ 55 to 105 Hz
1280 x 1024 @ 55 to 89 Hz
1600 x 1200 @ 55 to 76 Hz

Recommended Resolution: 1280 x 1024 @ 85 Hz
>>

I don't know about the optimal setting. I just run everything at 85hz since I know my IBM P96 supports upto 1600x1200@85hz.

VERY NICE :) Thanks! Yea, one of the tweak utiltites I had installed before changed the choices by adding an 'Optimal' selection...
