what are some cool projects cheap tablets can be used for?

i see amazon 7inches tablet is dirt cheap at $30 and i caved in!
i will install SqueezPlayer. the $5 app turns the tablet into a Squeezbox player whereby i can remotely control the tablet to play music and it can sync with other rooms for multi-audio. like Sonos but dirt cheap.

any other ideas?

ideas as suggested by others:
Torque app for carputer
use hdmi cable, convert dumb tv to turn it into smart tv
universal remote
serving tray
cutting board
cool multiscreen animation
Moonlight app, add controller for streaming PC games
add another display to your main PC

Get an OBD-II adapter for your car, and then put Torque.app on the tablet to use as a carputer that will read engine codes, and report back cool data?

Install google playstore on that...(google how) not bad for $30.

I have a tablet in my kitchen. It connects to bluetooth speakers and also has all my music on an SD card. I use it to stream music from Amazon prime, and also use it for looking up recipes.

A fanless music jukebox is a cool use. I'd be tempted to join you except I have 300+ GB of lossless FLAC files on my jukebox and it will probably be another 4 years before 500 GB microSD cards are affordable.

I do have one to use as a backup for my iPod, with just 196 kbps MP3 files instead.

Oyeve- put a target image on each of them and arrange them at the end of a target range. Roll camera as you aim a weapon and hit each bullseye. Post the video.

Other than that awesome use, I use an older Lenovo Yoga tablet as a universal remote control in the den.

Frankly, since they have no advantage over a phone other than a larger screen, and I always have my phone in my pocket, I don't see much use for one. I just pull my phone out of my pocket.

Any 7" tablet will make a good reader. Lots of free, downloadble books available, and free readers as well.
