There have been a few posts about google now so I thought we could put together a thread with all the features that google does that we might not all know about.

Funny that, you calling me a noob, when you're the one who loves being served results that are based on Google maximizing ad revenue above all else, yet you don't even realize it. :awe:

BTW, I was including that as one of the "cool things that google does", so no need to get your panties in a bunch. ():)

I find that the "results that are based on Google maximizing ad revenue above all else" are better than the competitions' results, and I know all about it.

I didnt even come back. Im the ghost of Christmas past. And this is all a dream. Yeah I dont get ads because of adblock plus but still.

They tie data together from numerous sources, and build an accurate profile of your whole life. They then give it to the government if they ask nicely. That much we know. They may even give it to the government without them having to ask, but AFAIK, that hasn't been publicized yet. So, for a couple cents of storage, and a little bit convenience, you get free spying all the time. You can't find a better deal anywhere.

Imgur is great. If I'm widely sharing photos, I consider them disposable, so their terms work fine for me. I have a script that uploads picture on right click context, and copies the url to my clipboard. Couldn't be easier.
