I've already seen Photosynth but that image technology in the first half is freaking awesome. I really do believe that that sort of technology will be in everyday use pretty soon. He is right that it throws away all of the screen real estate issues of today's technologies.

Watch the screen, not him. Even if you mute it, it's a cool demo.

I can't imagine how much memory that would require to run smoothly. Sure he says that the computer should only be concerned, at any given time, about the information displayed on the screen, but the smoothness of the transitions suggests that there's no HDD overhead. Still, it's very impressive. Especially zooming into a crystal clear DPI so quickly, I mean that was like... a lossless 900% zoom.

Hmmm... I went to the demo website, and it seemed to install correctly, but all I get is the sidebar. The main frame is just gray.

I've been waiting for that. It's almost like the software that works with cameras that have GPS meta data.

I watched all the way through hoping he'd take his shirt off. Now that would have gotten my attention 😛

The technology seems neat though and the way he describes why it works intuitively makes me wonder why no one has though of it before...
