Cool stuff to do in Socal with a girlfriend?

I'm heading down with the girlf for 4 days of Spring Break. What is the fun stuff to do around the OC/LA area for us age 20-21 types?

The Oscars are this weekend. You could see some stars. 🙂

Edit: Or you could just get a hotel room on the Strip and have sex all day and night. 😛

We're staying in a hotel around Disneyland...

Also, we're going from the 23rd to the 27th...

Well, around Disneyland there isn't jack sh!t to do except go to Disneyland. 🙂

Edit: There's always the basics. There's the beaches and tons of great places to eat in SoCal.

Bleck :disgust:...I'm sure we're gonna be forced into going to Disneyland some time or another...but that still leaves 4 days to burn

Also, I have no qualms about driving to be anywhere (beaches, other Spring break type stuff) as long as it's cool 🙂

you're close to downtown disney, california adventures, and knotts berry farm!

take your gf to hooters! you'll enjoy it

During spring break... just hang out at Huntington Beach. Sure to be plenty of stuff to do, though it will be crowded like a mofo. Not over 21 so I don't know of many good bars... Gameworks and Dave & Busters at the Block are fun and they serve alcohol.

Drive up to Malibu, it's beautiful.

If you've never been, check out Santa Monica and Hollywood as well. Do the things that regular toursits do if they've never been before. 🙂

Hmmm...is downtown disney worthwhile? I've heard some things about it...

Ah yes...I should add that I grew up in Southern California...just never got a chance to do all the stuff that (semi) grown-ups do 🙂

She's not over 21 either so the bar scene's pretty much out of the question (except for crooked Chinatown bars 🙂)

Redondo Beach -- if it's too crowded during the day for you, the water's still pretty warm even at 9-10 PM at night.

Hmmm come to think of it if you don't swim much that might be a little dangerous, though it never crossed my mind years ago when a bunch of us used to head to the beach after work.

I swim plenty...though she doesn't know how to 🙁

I think toyota grand prix of long beach coming up soon I saw them building the barricades on my way home. Queen Mary is cool.
Magic mountain of course some of the best coasters, outersquare has some good ideas. Westwood village has some *great* places to eat.
Oh yea you can go see cirque dul soleil (spelling?) The new one is Drallion right next to queen mary omfg you won't believe some of the stuff they do.

<< check out these places;

3rd st santa monica (outdoor mall)
venice beach (outdoor shops)
universal city walk (outdoor mall)
irvine spectrum/the block (outdoor mall)
old town pasadena (outdoor shops)
huntington library (art/botantical garden)
getty museum (art/botanical garden)
LA museum of art (art)
solvang (dutch? themed town, shop and eat)

Also you can try to go visit some tapings of TV shows, I've gone before, but I don't remember how to get in. That's all that I can think of right now.

Woah...that's awesome. I think we might do a few of those. We'll probably focus on more outdoorsy stuff as opposed to museum and indoor stuff though 🙂

She's seen Cirque du Soleil already...in fact she doesn't stop talking about it 🙁

<< In that case, may I borrow her for a few hours (or maybe for a few years)? >>

:Q She'd whoop my a*s if I even suggested it. She's explicitly said that I'm not to get any Mario time for this whole trip 🙁

Since you're staying by Disneyland... go check out Dromo 1... its an indoor go-kart center... not kiddy karts like Speed Zone... $20 bucks each... full race gear... helmet, suit, balaclava blah blah blah... u get a briefing... 5 qualifying laps... and 15 race laps... youll be racing with 10-15 people and at the end you get a stat sheet. 🙂 good fun... find out more at dromo1.com

Make sure you eat plenty of mexican food, you could also take a day trip to san diego and goto the San Diego Zoo and wild animal park, its the best zoo in the world, or sea world if you havent been.
