Mount Washington, Loew's Theater, The Carnegie Science Center, Point State Park
Del's Restaurant in Bloomfield, M 18-and-older night, Station Square,
Carnegie Museaum of Natural History, tour the Hill District (maybe not such a good idea ;)), or just wander around Oakland...

There's actually a lot more to do in Pittsburgh than you'd think ;)...most of it is advertized somewhere online. Just be careful that you don't wander into the wrong areas :D

And when visiting Mt. Washington and Station Square, ride the incline between them.

When reitz says "M 18-and-older night", "M" is a club. It's in the Strip District. Also, you can visit Primanti Bros. restaurant in the Strip. Get your coleslaw and fries right on the sandwich. I recommend the roast beef and provolone.

A lot of record stores, supermarkets, and some restaurants (Don Pablo's is one) distribute free copies of the Pittsburgh City Paper, an alternative weekly newspaper that lists nearly everything there is to do in town. The racks are usually near the door. Here is their "Best of Pittsburgh" list. And here is their events listing.

I have no clue what "kentucky knob" might be, though.

Also while down at the strip, you might want to hit "Station Scare" near rock jungle. Or maybe one of about a dozen decent haunted houses that are going on now.
