Cool space background images

I was browsing the desktop backgrounds and other images from Space.com's collection, which are public domain and available for download. I downloaded a bunch of them, mostly from the Hubble Collections. Here are some samples:

Eagle Nebula 1024x768

Cat's Eye Nebula 1024x768

Tarantula Nebula 1024x768

Glowing Eye 1024x768

There are lots more available. I created an archive of what I downloaded in both 1024 and 1280 resolution, then uploaded for your galaxial gawking pleasure, instead of having to browse the collection and download them individually from Space.com:

Backgrounds.exe (~ 57MB)

The file is WinRAR self-extracting archive. Very cool!

Note: I may pull the file if it starts to approach my bandwidth limit for the month (1TB). Sorry. Hopefully someone else will help by uploading it to an alternate server.

I don't agree that it 'kills' the picture. Detracts slightly, yes, but kills, no. Some might even find the Space.com logo an enhancement.
