It's beta, but this has the potential to be big.

Anyone have an unlimited data plan with a wireless carrier? Jackpot!

They don't actually host the files. If you notice, each song has a web address from which the site streams the data. All they do is conglomerate songs from different sources around the web and index them on the site for you to listen to.

Its not. Especially since they give the link of the location to download the files.

EDIT: Basically what RapidSnail said. But still, personally i dont expect the site to last too long...

Awesome site. Too bad it'll probably get shut down by the RIAA any day now.

Just noticed that they don't actually host the song....they find the songs from other websites and allow you to search them.

I cant wait until it does. Do we really want the masses knowing that just about any song one can think of is hosted on public servers all across the 'net?

Nobody wants this getting out, I mean...just think of what it would do to all those poor musicians. Please, think of the musicians!

It's registered in the US so it will probably get shutdown. Maybe the pirate bay and buy them and keep it running in sweden though.

I use Imeem.com a lot. Sorta similar site except it has a nifty Flash interface to make playlists with. These days though, it seems like more and more people are just using 30 secsamples instead of full songs. Usually I can search for an artist though, and bring a up like a 50 song playlist to listen to while neffing.

imeem did that when Warner tried to sue them..it's a copyright issue rather than a user one.

Yeah, it's like tv-links or peekvid. They give links to (in many cases illegal) content, but don't actually offer it themselves. What happens to these sites is eventually the people that host most of the videos get shut down and then the site dies, or I guess the MPAA or whoever wises up and watches the sites and shuts down anything posted, so they die out.
