One of my favorites is Stat'n'Perf. It will show you your connection speed and log it in a way that no other program does (in my opinion). There are some screenshots on there site.

Xnews beats Agent anyday for decoding and posting and it's free.

@guard is one of the best but was bought out by Norton and is included in NIS2K + the beauty of this is that it actually let's the cookie in but does not let it go out. Some site will act different if you don't accept the cookie so this is perfect.

Zonealrms, free but comes at a price. that I won't go into this here. Stick with NIS.

divX of course can you imagine being without it.

DU Meter - Internet connection monitor
PicaView - Lets you view a thumbnail of an image just by right-clicking on it. no need to open up photoshop just to see what a pic is off.
DreamKeys - using one simple shortcut command you can hide a window entirely (even removes it from the task bar!). then hit another shortcut and it pops back up in an instant. im sure many people will find this useful in the office at work ;)
