Speedfan! You probably know about it, but if you dont, slap yourself.

Speefan never worked for me.

Why? Only thing speedfan dosent do for me is tell me the fan rpm's. Cant read my mobo's i guess. Does everything else perfectly, it beats the now non-supported motherboard monitor 5.

Hell if I know. I just re-installed it, too.

Won't give me my speeds, temps, etc. In fact, the chart is black and I'm receiving no information at all.

This is probably because I'm on a dell.

Process Explorer (sysinternals) FTW

Only prob with speed fan is it doesn't actually control my fans. And it picks up two that don't exist, one at 4600rpm, one at 25000. which I doubt.

well, if you want cool pay-for-play, my HA/HT package is CharmedQuark [CQC]. I use it as the software backbone for my HT [dvds, etc], but also to control the following equipment over RS232 [much better than IR - it's bidirectional so i get return info]
- Denon 3805
- Polk XM tuner
- thermostat
- irrigation
- security system
- lighting
- IRMan

and, can custom paint my screens.

Check out the personal site in my sig for a view of what it can do.

Granted, it's $200 for the base, $300 for the full deal, but considering it takes the place of $1K+ of other s/w, i think it's a bargain.
