I think it's still a beautiful city, and within the next few years it'll look even better as they rebuild new buildings either there, or nearby. Eat your heart out you friggen Arabs, you'll never see this unless you move here!! Oops, sorry, that darn temper.
 
I really hope they rebuild the towers. Whether that is feasible from a financial or security standpoint, I don't know - but I want my children to be able to see what the New York skyline should look like. 🙁
 
the thing is, the city will just look so much smaller. an amazing peice of the city is gone, like a big hole in it. It was an accident or natural disaster like a meteor, it was very intended.


Completely OT: How will that new Jay Leno backdrop be redesigned?

I have a picture from a ferry of Manhattan...taken when I was going to the Statue of Liberty...I will post it up when I get home...it was taken a year ago. If I could recall...the twin towers stand out so majestically!

Being up in the boonies, I bought a panoramic poster of the NYC skyline last week to remind me of my roots. When I return there it will be an alien landscape to me, it will not be the city I remember.
 
The original buildings took 6 years to build am I correct? But that was long ago. Rebuilding should only take a couple years... (hope they rebuild)
