Well, my friend and I are road tripping to Boston...he loves the city, I've never been and everybody says how sweet of a city it is.

We're both 19 and look like we're 25 if that helps any hah. Not interested in clubbing.

Thanks!

take one of the orange/green tour bus rides, many of them are driven by students from MIT/BU and are entertaining

visit geekbabe and straighten out her roommates (the ones that won't buy groceries)

Well, you got Fanueil Hall, Fenway, Museum of Fine Arts has some cool stuff (not sure if you are looking for that kind of thing tho)... Boylston and Newbury Sts got a lot of cool stuff. You can check out the Big Dig just to see how much money is being blown to rip giant holes in the ground. (I know, it'll be cool when its done...

Oh and if you can get tickets you can check out Blue Man Group while you are in town, if you've never seen it before.

Being only 19 limits a lot of the places I would say to go :p

If you like history, the Freedom Trail is nice.

Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market is a nice, sort of touristy area.

If you want to catch a movie, the Lowes in the Boston Common and the AMC in Fenway (near Landsdown St.) are the best theatres. The theatre district is also close to the Common.

Oh, and whenever possible, avoid driving! The streets are tangled, and both the pedestrians and drivers are terrible. Fortunately, the "T" (our transit system) is pretty thorough and you can get almost anywhere from there.

Edit: If you like museums, try the Science Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts.

First thing, don't take the car into Boston. Unless you want to spend all day finding a place to park it and/or pay a fortune once you do. Do a little planning ahead, find a T subway or commuter rail stop outside of town that has parking, leave the car there, then get a day pass for the subway to get around. Or just walk - Boston is surprisingly small.

Visit the North End and have some lunch at one of the places there - best pizza on the planet.

Good call on the North End.

And yeah, I would avoid driving if you aren't familiar with the area. There's plenty of T stations with ample parking (Wellington and Alewife Stations, just to name two) so if you do some looking you can park there. Of course, if you are staying in a hotel its possible they have parking for guests, so check that out too... but the T is your friend if you are new to the area. Hell with all the tearing up they been doing I get lost sometimes, and I live here!

you'd have to be insane if you wanted to drive in downtown Boston.

Definately go on the duck tour, its quite entertaining and the tourguides are hilarious.

Definately check out Harvard Square and MIT campus, goto the Science Musuem, and walk along Newbury Street.

Also check out the area by MIT and Harvard, where the main river runs by (i forgot the name of it). Its a nie place to lounge about on the river banks (well in the summer anyway).

One word on that... DON'T eat at the Cheers restaurant in Fanueil Hall. If you are talking about walking by the Bull and Finch (the restaurant Cheers is based off of) then do some photos and keep going. Its overpriced and the food isn't that good, and its always busy because its touristy.

Bunker Hill monument and the USS Constitution may be cool if you like historic stuff.
