Well, sort of. My phone company and DSL provider is a local coop that provides service to ~50,000 customers, both residential and business.
Each year, the coop pays back earnings dividends based upon your usage percentage(monthly bill). This year I'm getting back $125 from them. Woohoo! Pays for my DSL connection for three months.
It's not like they are overcharging in the first place either. My monthly phone bill is no higher than what I paid under US West or McLeod, and my DSL line is cheaper than Media Com cable modem service.
I think it's a nice thing to do on their part
