Cool n Quiet with overclocking?

It should be okay if you are overclocking with the default CPU multiplier. The only issues I heard of are when overclockers used a lower than default multi, so when CnQ kicked in and drops the multi, and then is no longer needed, it brings the multi up to default, which will likely be higher than your OC can handle.
I'm not using CnQ myself at the moment. I don't know if it works for Opterons. Anyone else use CnQ with an overclock alright?

I agree with avalon, I've just bumped up the FSB on my 4400+ (on an ASRock DSII, I've got an Ultra-D I just haven't installed yet, different RAID driver and all.....

I don't use it since I am running a lower multiplier and some of my older games have timing issues with it anyway.
Which one is the latest official? I'm using an Ultra-D on the 6/23/05 with an Opty 165 and CnQ works fine for me. I decided to use RMclock instead though for finer granularity/control.
It usually works if you are using the stock multiplier, though I have trouble getting many motherboard working with Cool and Quiet and a Dual-core CPU period.

I think there was a bios released last fall, I got it off the DFI website. How did you get CnQ to work? Do you have to set vcore on auto in the bios?
CnQ will work when OCing but its going to affect your stability and max overclock level. I would recommend leaving it off unless you are goign to do a very conservative overclock. The voltage fluxuations are hell on the chips and its even worse if you are using dual core.
Yeah vcore has to be set to auto. If you need to give additional voltage to your CPU you have to manipulate the setting that adds a percentage to your vcore. From what I understand this % increase will always apply on top. So if you use RMclock and kick the voltage down to 1.0v during idle but you have +13% set in the BIOS, you'll be getting 1.13v (just as an example, I don't recall what all the actual settings are.)
The xtremesystems.org and DFI-street forums have some good threads about CnQ/RMclock usage. I think I gleaned most of the stuff from those two places.
I hit the same overclock limits whether or not I use RMclock. 40+ hours dual Prime with no errors, which is enough for me to call stable. Lower temps and power consumption while idle - where my system probably spends 95% of its time - so I figure why not take advantage of it?
CnQ works great on my DFI SLI-DR w/ my 3000+ Venice. When I started o/c with the Venice, I turned CnQ off, since that is what the o/c guides tell you to do. One day I accidently left it on and the o/c still worked. Since then I have left it on with no problems. YMMV.
