Found this on joystiq. Pay what you want for 8 courses that teach you programming or web development. Each course has video lectures and source code at the end of the lesson that you can use.

Looks like a good deal. I'm not a web developer but I do websites sometimes in my free time if I want to learn something new. In my line of work I rarely work in UI and only see my stuff work if the calculations are correct lol.

I like the charity element too - I wonder if there is a similar offer for learning C++?

Not sure if this is as viable, but there are tons of tuts on YT for C++ too. I'd recommend a guy named TheNewBoston, it's not as professional and you don't get practice, but it's always a choice.

Cheers

Yea udemy has a lot of free tutorials too. I just browsed all the paid courses I bought and there are literally over a hundred videos and code samples. What's cool is there is a discussion board too and you can get help from the instructor should you need it. I've been a java developer now for 3 years and most of this stuff is pretty basic but it is a steal for learning new things. I've been programming in other languages such as c# and asp so this quick easy stuff will help when I want to learn python or maybe psd.
