Do you sound like where you live or are from ?

Neat. Interesting how there seems to be far less variation amongst the different parts of North America than one would think from typical stereotypes of each region. Either that's because they did their research and these people really do represent the norm, or they didn't do their research and simply picked young people who tend to have less of a regional accent than older people?

Being from the midwest and having absolutely no accent and pronouncing every word absolutely correct, I admit I am sometimes annoyed by people with accents although I know it's not their fault.

Midwest is an accent. Especially considering the English language derives from England and you sound probably sound nothing like that.

Listen to the Kansas and Missouri ones, you probably sound like that... unless you mean Illlinois / Great Lakes area... that accent is very pronounced.

Record the paragraph in Audacity or Sound recorder and let us decide 😛

I downloaded, and installed the latest, but it still doesn't work. I just get a thin black bar of despair :^D

I have Vista64, and I tried it in IE7-64, and FF3.08-32

Theres a Quick Time activeX control the IE needs to install. you should get a pop up bar thingy.

Dunno about Firefox..

Yeah, QT sucks. Sorry that site uses it 🙁

Some midwesterners have a slight accent, but the one mentioned in the kansas accent is not it.

Also, notice how few flags there are around the midwest, proof there are no accents. Chicagoans do have an accent yes, but I don't consider them midwesterners.

Furthermore, the English do not pronounce their own language correctly. Even less so today when they cut off letters in words and rarely use proper English.

Edit: The man from South Dakota sounds closer to where I'm at. He speaks properly.
