large binder clips have pretty good clamping strength... so i dunno. its easier to just get a drill brush but in a pinch i guess that will do for some tasks.

That's pretty clever/humorous, but I have that power drill and while not extremely heavy, it has enough weight on it to make your arm/hand tired after extended use.

Even if the sponge "attachment" was a legit thing, there's no way you could be scrubbing for 20+ min.
