Cooking question - Substitute for Heavy Cream?

I know what you're all thinking...don't. 😛

I am cooking dinner for company tomorrow night. The recipie calls for 16oz of Heavy Cream. There's none to be found where I'm at. What can I substitute for it?

Here's the recipie.

At the stores around here, it's all called "whipping cream", I don't think I've ever seen it just called "heavy cream". Confused me the first time I was looking for it.

16 ounces in one recipe though - wow. You might want to call up the local fire department and ask if they can loan you their defibulator for the evening 😛

Edit: Ahh, making an alfredo sauce. Totally worth the heart attack.

LOL! 😀 Yeah, it's a bit on the heavy side. I usually make a diff recipie that I got off the back of a box of Barilla pasta about 6 years ago, but I don't have that recipie with me. 🙁

I even checked their website, but the recipie isn't there. So, I'm having to try something new. If it was just for me, I'd wing it and try and go by rote, but I'm entertaining cowokers; have to impress.
