I use a crockpot for marinating steak tips. Take your favorite sauce, put it in the crock pot with the tips and cook on low for like 5-6 hours, then take them out and flash them on the grill for a bit to finish them off. Best EVER! Gets the good grill taste while staying nice and tender. MMMMMMM

hmm that sounds good. but 5-6 hours? does it really need to cook that long in it?

hmm that sounds good. but 5-6 hours? does it really need to cook that long in it?

Well on mine the low is really just a VERY low simmer, your mileage may vary. honestly its on the low end, probably more like 4 - 5 hours, I'm impatient, I always say 5 -6 but I don't think I usually make it that long :p

I usually throw em in, and leave, and when I get back I throw em on the grill. I guess I should have maybe said 6 hours as the maximum.... and yeah, its VERY good, the meat stays moist and tender.
