Cooking extracts, orange, etc

My cousin is currently buying these and drinking them to get drunk. is the alcohol in them ethyl alcohol, or what? Just want to make sure its not dangerous.

Sounds disgusting, glad i'm not a minor and can drink normal stuff. ha

The alcohol present is to get the extracts to solubilize into solution. Getting drunk from it is not the best thing to do, but he's not going to die from the alcohol.

They are not going to kill him, but i would venture to guess it is very bad for a person's body to ingest that in such large amounts.

i love this place. i'm well aware that its not the best plan of attack.

1) he cant buy booze, he's a minor.
2) I think this occurs like once a month when him and his friends want to booze.
3) toilet wine is a great idea, but he's not in prison. ha

Vanilla extract is the solution in aqueous ethyl alcohol of the
sapid and odorous principles extractable from vanilla beans. In vanilla
extract the content of ethyl alcohol is not less than 35 percent by
volume and the content of vanilla constituent, as defined in
Sec. 169.3(c), is not less than one unit per gallon.
