Throwing up is good. Passing out is not so good but as long as they are breathing normally and will respond to stimuli (a kick) it's still good. Convulsions definately not good.

I respond to the original post ..

I suggest your friend to start with alcohol step by step, and not as big as he can do...

this is a typical human reaction, most of the guys aint allergic, but it can be possible, here's an example

try to begin with beer and then vodka, but not a lot of glasses ...

ur friend could had a cardiac stop, and this is very dangerous ... near the death !

sorry for my poor english :p

Medical attention was not possible because he was under 21. We both would have been introuble. Me for giving it to him and him for drinking it.
That is the most irresponsible attitude imaginable. You risked a life to avoid getting into trouble?! Reality check, if he'd died you'd be in a heap more touble.

Get your priorities straight.

Nasty stuff..some people are physically allergic to alcohol and it doesn't get better with practice.

You are suggesting that he drink something he is allergic to? Thats like telling someone who is allergic to bee stings to punch a bee hive of killer bees while naked.

Cardiac stop? What in blue hell are you talking about? Do you mean cardiac arrest? Cardiac failure? Arrest would mean he is DEAD.

BTW, what he had is NOT a normal reaction by any means. If you think that is normal, you lived in a fvcked up world my friend.

Is there some link on some website that says if you're dumb as hell come join us at forums.anandtech.com?

Or are there really this many numbskulls randomly joining and posting here. We should make a list of the biggest doofuses of all time to post here. It's too late to start with the forefather's of stupidity, Guy under/until the bridge, and their ilk, most of which I've forgotten the names to, but the new ones....

Then again not such a good idea they will probably start posting BS threads just to be on the famous idiot list. Ah let's just ignore them.

Yep, nothing but a troll. Move on folks, nothing to see here.

First I am not trolling this really did happen. Second I think I was responible. I help lower his temperature. I kept bring rags socked in icey water on him. I would have to run back and forth because his body would heat up the cold water and make it hot after a few min.

You should really stop before you dig yourself in any further. No matter how it turned out, what it comes down to is this:

It was NOT SMART to let him convulse without knowing what was wrong or how much danger he was in. He had a VIOLENT REACTION to what he drank, and you should have called 911. If the words VIOLENT REACTION don't make you realize how serious the situation was, then nothing will. You should consider yourself BLESSED that your cousin isn't dead. Don't make the same mistake again or it could cost somebody's LIFE.

EDIT: Ummmm, yeah. I'll start looking at thread dates from now on. But my point still stands! :)

OMFG. So, VTboy, have you told your cousin and/or an adult about what vi_edit's wife said? This would be an opportunity for you to actually do something responsible.

Edit: Element: Stop dredging up old threads... this thing died more than 2 weeks ago.
