Wow, where you were living levees broke and your house was flooded through the first floor? The real damage to New Orleans and the distress to the people was caused by the flooding in the AFTERMATH of the hurricane. You, nor I, nor anybody in the U.S. except those people in New Orleans have experienced that.

Take your experience, and stick it up your a**. This disaster is unprecedented.
Where were you? Posting tripe on some internet message board, telling people they don't know squat about things you're clueless about yourself?

Your experience and my experience matters for sh*t. All that matters is what people are experience there, right now. It doesn't matter where I was, it doesn't matter where you were.

And on top of that, you call them ingrates. That's the lowest of the low.

I'm not calling them all or even most of them ingrates. I guess you missed that part though, eh?

Do you have comprehension problems, or is it a mental thing with you?

Wow, as if the quantity of people you're calling ingrates matters. You think that the people who chose to remain and now complain about the rescue effort taking so long are ingrates? Please. They deserve your compassion.

Hell, most of the people who aren't even there are complaining about the rescue effort taking so long to help these people. You'd think it'd be OK for the victims to be a little stressed out and complaining.

Oh, but please, enlighten me with your "experience" in this matter.

Didn't you get the memo? TLC is a former director of FEMA!

haha. i think the only reason TLC is calling "some" or "all" or "a little" or "a few" people ingrates is because the victims are poor minorities.

It makes him feel important to belittle others. It's how he gets his rocks off.

LOL. Look at the posts in this thread and all the attempts at belitting me from numerous trolls.

Congrats on winning the gold star award for irony today. Don't expect your prize in the mail any time soon.

Between you saying everyone stayed intentionally and him saying everyone was too poor to live lies the truth.

Allow me to refresh your memory:

"Most made the CHOICE to remain in New Orleans instead of evacuate. "

I am belittling you, but your a tough guy and I know you can take it. Anybody who dishes it out like you had better be able to take it.

"breathing in and out 2 feet" LMAO!! I think I've see that looney tunes cartoon before..

Actually, reason would tell you that most people made the choice to remain if you think about it logically and without the emotional factor or without raising the spectre of racism.

However, reason is often in short supply in this forum.

Well you'll just have to continue crying over milk that wasn't ever spilt, won't you?

Bus carrying Evacuees flips over

Carrying 40 - 50 people; crossed over a median and flipped

One person has apparently died.

Maybe we'll get lucky next time.

No different than your crying.

I, for one, am very glad that those people are finally getting supplies. Oh, and the US Constitution guarantees them the "RIGHT" to bitch about the speed (and they should). Thank you! 🙂

Food, water, and supplies finally show up. Some people are happy and others gripe about how long it took.

Why are these people complaining? Most made the CHOICE to remain in New Orleans instead of evacuate. Just about everyone has TV these days and I'm sure just about everyone in NOLA knew a large hurricane was headed their way. How many in here would have to be told to evacuate if such a large, destructive storm was headed right at them?

Can't say I blame them. After living in a convention center piled with trash, dead bodies, human and ? feces and reeking with dead corpses they have every right to be outraged. They've been ignored for several days at this supposed "official" evacuation point. Meanwhile they've had to tolerate a$$holes running around with guns - raping and harrassing the evacuees. They have every right to be upset.

I don't care how much "advanced warning" they had. It's been stated many times already on this forum that these are people who did not have the means or the $$ to get out.

Get a clue...
So you know for a fact that everyone stranded in NO were poor, unfortunates who didn't have the means or $$ to leave?

Talk about getting a clue.

I'll concede to you the point that EVERYONE currently stranded in NO were not poor. Shame on me for wording my statement in a way that implied the extreme. There were plenty of people with money who were stranded. Not to mention tourists stranded at hotels who were unable to catch a flight out at the last moment or had their cars stolen or car jacked. Sure there were some affluent people. I believe that most of the people stuck there did not have the means to evacuate quickly enough.

I stand by my assertion that those stuck at the evacuation points and elsewhere in the city have every right to be disgruntled at the slowness of the rescue effort.
And imo, the people complaining were more than likely some pampered white assho!es who decided to stay and got stuck, and not the poor people.

But way to go, jump to conclusions crew. You're looking really stupid so far.
Nice job bringing race into this discussion. Race is totally irrelevant and, IMO, used by those who have no substance left to stand on. So, you're saying that non-white, poor people are used to living in these hellish conditions and, so would not be likely to mouth any complaints? Nice...

I'm not the person who played the race card in this discussion. Others brought it up, making squalid accusations against me by doing so, and I clarified my position.

btw, I have the RIGHT to go up to anyone and call them an unabashed idiot to their face as well. That doesn't mean I have to exercise that right, and particularly wouldn't do it when I hadn't eaten for days and someone who's not responsible for that fact is finally bringing me food. That sort of behavior is just disgusting and pathetic.

imo, I see this as a lack of personal responsibility. Claiming that 100,000 people are stuck in NOLA due to no fault of their own is just plain apologism and it's a standard tactic of the left these days to disregard personal responsibilty and slag it off on anyone in authority. That may be one of the saddest things about the left or people in general these days. Stop that BS and start placing blame where it belongs.

What amazes me is that a country like the U.S. can spend billions, troops and equipment every day, in a foreign land, fighting a war nobody approves, while the response time and efforts to help its own citizens are pitiful, cheap and LATE.

And YOU are supposed to be the most advanced country on Earth, a shining beacon and all, leading by example... don't you REALLY see the disjuncture here?

And the straw is flying furiously now. TC's even trying to play the race card. How absolutely moronic, and completely expected of him.

Ahh, nice job getting away from the argument. Would you care to tell me how your experience makes you qualified to say these people are ingrates?

Since I don't want to get your panties in a bunch: "these people" means people who chose to stay, and are complaining that the aid is arriving so late.

So did the fed-up left/liberal rescue crew get there two seconds after the storm was over and save the entire city through their ingenuous and cunning plan?

I don't believe I've seen any reports on that group yet. Link?

Man, and you'd think with all the black helicopters they have available they'd be all over it.

You are a complete partisan clown. It's because those people are complaining about the federal government - aka Bush, that has you in an uproar. You don't give a flying fsck about those people or anyone else unless they worship your god Bush. You are a pathetic excuse for a human being, much less an American.
