Convincing parents to get dsl?

ok well I'm really sick of 56k...and I'm just wondering....how would I convince my parents to get dsl? post suggestions....thanks 😀
 
It doesn't work. My dad was not going to get cable until he decided to enroll in Capella University(an accredited online PhD program) and one of his friend who was also in the program said that having broadband was a must.
I tried every argument and he wasnt going to budge

True. DSL or cable internet costs $50 a month on average, how long does it take to make $50 per month?

One 8 hour day per month, that doesn't seem like a lot.

Let's say $8 an hour x 8 hours a weekend x 52 weeks per year / 12 months = $277 per month (GROSS before taxes/deductions) for just working 1 weekend day per week.
 
Obviously your priority is basketball, although I think you're simply lazy.

ask your dad how frustrated he is getting pr0n on his 56k, then tell him that he will be able to get to get it 10x faster with dsl...

of course, you can always substitute any other internet pasttime instead of "pr0n"
 
Tell you parents you are tired of beign called a "56k n00b" in Counter Strike.

Or explain to your father that downloading a 90meg movie is far to difficult with a 56k.
