EDIT: NVM I thought you were calling my lame lol. And is there a chance if you download a song at 128 K you can convert it to 192 K? Though I doubt it.

How exactly do you use this? I launched the LAME exe. What do I do now? All it seemed to do was extract something

You can use Musicmatch Jukebox to convert lower bitrates to higher bitrates. It doesn't help the sound quality or anything though.

Once you extract it, run the setup.exe, I believe. Look in the folder you extracted it to.

When I launched the .exe a black box appeared and disappeared. I can't find out the folder

Look for a Windows GUI that utilizes LAME. Easy CD Extractor comes to mind, there are many others.

The black window thing is because LAME.EXE is a DOS program that expects command-line arguments and since you aren't providing any, it just exits.

I installed CD Extractor. Just one question what is the Fraunhofer MP3 Codec? Which ones provides better sound quality? And will they both work on an MP3 player?

Yeah, you can, but it's still going to sound worse than the original 128kbps rip, so there's no point.

I'm ripping from a CD. I was just curious for songs I couldn't find at 192 K on LimeWire.

Most will tell you that Lame, the newest version or whatever, provides for the best sound. In your situation, converting from WMA to mp3, I really don't think it matters.

Use RazorLAME for work within Windows. You can't make something better than it was recorded at. But you can convert at the same fidelity.
