I did a search and found few programs but after installing them i found that the conversion from real player format to MP3 was not possible.

Does anyone know what to use - to convert a real player (audio/video) file into MP3???

I don't know about the plug in - but i checked the decoder options and there are no real player extension. Also, due to this reason i cannot view any real extensions at the time converting. So, i guess it's not possible, unless someone can tell me exactly what needs to be done.

Any other options???

Wouldn't you need the plug-in then?

Okay, got the plug in and followed instructions as give for the installation. But before decoding, the .rm files are being detected but when i click convert i get an error saying "The CODEC required to decompress 'F:\Files\filename.rm' could not be opened.
DirectShow filter for '.rm' not installed, or Audio File Corrupt."

Now what............the installation is right as i have double checked it......btw this error happens to every .rm file.

Well, at last i got it working. The error was with the latest update of the codec, i downloaded an older version codec and (with a few bugs) it ateast works.

Thanks for the help guys, espically Schadenfroh...........
