converting real audio files to wav?

Is there any software available that will convert real audio to .wav files?

You can use the Windows wave recorder to record it while it's being played. But other than that I don't think there is a way.

Hmmm... here's a free trial one here: http://www.wisecroft.com/download.html. Though I've never tried.
