Converting Quicktime files to AVI

I've been trying to use Quicktime Pro to export a quicktime file to AVI, but I keep getting this error: Couldn't export the movie because the movie does not allow saving". I got this quicktime file from my temporary internet files after I had viewed it in my browser. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I'd also like some recommendations on which programs are best for converting Quicktime files.
 
Thanks rainypickles....worked great. Sucks that you have to download several other programs to get the sounds to play with the video, but it didn't take too long to convert to AVI. I think I forgot to search first because I had just finished searching Google for it.
