Converting old pervasive btrieve database

Hey--

Got a question--is there anyone here that has any knowledge of converting old pervasive btrieve database files (just .dat files, probably version 5 or older). Trying to convert the database into access or something that I can use. Basically, I have the .dat files, but I'm not sure how to get them into some usable format--when I try and import them everything just gets squashed into one column. 🙁 Thanks. I tried downloading the sql server 9 for pervasive but their support for older databases is horrible (in my opinion).
