I have a Neo 480 PSU that I want to use as a secondary PSU. Of course, since I cannot connect a second PSU to my motherboard I cannot use it. In the new issue of Maximum PC they briefly discuss how to convert an ATX PSU to an AT PSU by "shorting" the main power connector. This involves putting pins into two spaces on a 20 pin main power connector and building a switch to turn the PSU on or off. Since the Neo has a 24 pin to 20 pin adapter, I assume I could use this trick, but I have some questions.
(1) Where can I buy pins?
(2) Do I need to build a switch, or could I just the on/off switch on the back of the Neo?
(3) If I use the 24-20 pin adapter, will this trick still work?
Thanks for any help.
