Converting Mp3 to WAV: Possible?

in winamp:
options > preferences > plugins > output > Nullsoft Disk writer > configure - pick a directory.

Close options, hit play. Whyen the playlsit is done, you'l have a lot of wav files. Make sure to switch back to wav out after you're done with the disk writer.

There was this program a while back which I used to use called mp32wav.

Don't use it anymore though...when i burn mp3s to cd...they automaitcally convert to wav if i specify audio

What file type should I choose when I hit configure? (PCM is default, WAV isn' listed).

edit nevermind, figured it out.

Thanks guys!

Also, LAME offers the ability to decode MP3 to WAV. Some people think that LAME does a better decoding job than Winamp, but I don't notice much difference.

The best tool for converting .mp3 to .wav or .wav to .mp3 is dBpowerAMP It's freeware, fast, great output quality, does batch edits and integrates into the system shell so conversions are a simple matter of right clicking an audio file and choosing "convert to..."
