converting aspect ratio?

good news: the video successfuly converted to wmv and i was able to publish without green:

problems: quality is significantly lower than i expected, and audio was completely out of sync. i had to move the audio file according to the video manually...which take like forever. if u look/listen closely, i didnt do so great of a job.


suggestions/explanation?

I'm glad it finally worked.

The quality can be adjusted based on which settings you choose when you publish to file. I know there's a WMV DVD quality setting which should have retained most of the quality. Besides, it's going to basically look like crap on youtube in any case. Audio/Video sync seems fine to me.

Anyway, I suggest reading up on http://www.videohelp.com and http://www.doom9.org for general education about encoding/decoding/transcoding anything to do with video.
