I'm putting this here because I'm open to a response that incorporates a solution in any OS, I don't care if its Linux, Mac or Windows, I just need it to work. I have a bunch of files, probably, 130,000 or so, all are a mix of Tiff, doc and wpd with a smattering of rtf. I need them ALL converted to pdf retaining the file name. Has anyone had to do this before, or used anything that may be able to do this efficiently? I'm not expecting to get a huge response from this question as it is kind of out there but any responses or ideas will be appreciated.

Because of copyright issues that is a lot of free pdf 2 xxx batch converters.

xxx 2 pdf is a little more tricky. Usually it is done by installing a pdf file printer on Word, or a graphic program etc. I.e, free will not do batch.

You probably will have to separate the files into doc, graphic. etc.

Then as an example a search for doc 2 pdf batch

Example, http://www.a-pdf.com/word-to-pdf/

Example, http://www.adultpdf.com/products/tifftopdf/index.html

Example, http://www.verypdf.com/pdfcamp/pdf-writer/rtf-to-pdf.html

As you can see these applications are Not very expensive, it will probably cost less than $100 to get whatever you need.

P.S. The above companies are among the leading in this market and their products are usually reliable.
