Convert UFS to NTFS

Ok, here's a problem for all you smart people. I have a FreeBSD server that acts as my personal file server currently. All is well and good, it works great. But due to what I'd like to do with it, I'm going to set it up connected to my parent's DSL connection when I go back to college this fall. File server over DSL no worky too well. So what I'd like to do is just take the second hard drive (the one with all my stuff on it) and put it in my Windows XP computer. I don't have enough space on any other drives to back this stuff up, and burning 80 gigs worth of stuff on CD would take quite a long time. So, any thoughts on how I could convert this? I've googled it, but didn't find anything promising.

And just so no one is left wondering, the stuff I have on the drive is TV shows I ripped using my TV tuner card. No pirated stuff or anything like that, just big DivX files.

PQMagic only supports ext[23] last I checked, and that's only because they hired Ted Tso to write the support for them.

That's to bad that Windows isn't ever compatable with anything. Are these files to big to fit to cd's? that will probably be the best hope unless you can borrow a freind's computer to upload over a peer-to-peer lan, in order to backup your files so you can format.

maybe you could borrow a hdd large enough to temporarily store that stuff on...thats why i always keep one laying around.

The files fit on CDs, but it will take a lot of them to back up all the files 🙂 In any case, I'm going to my backup plan of looking for someone with enough space to help me out. Thanks for the info.

burn em to CD, sounds like you need a backup of them anyway, plus its a cheap backup... just alittle time consuming, but with a decently fast burner it shouldn't take more than 3 hours or so to get everything in line
