Convert AT case to ATX...

Confused

Elite Member
i'm 99% certain i saw somewhere a link to a site which shows how to convert an AT case to an ATX one. i want to do this cos the case i have atm is not very good, and i have a good tower AT case sitting in my cupboard. if anyone knows where this site is, can u please tell me.

thanks in advance

wouldn't the only thing holding you back is to drill some holes in the case to fit an atx mb...and cut out appropriate spaces for the i/o panel?

i remember i converted atx to at before, so i'm sure you can go the other way on this one.

The powersupply can simply be switched to an ATX one, and a mometary switch mounted on the power button. The only problem is the i/o shield in the back, if your computer allows you to remove the panel, then just get an ATX plate to put back there. If you can't.. i think you'd have to cut that out i guess.

Yeah all you do is cut out a whole at the right place the a little smaller then the IO pannel and stick it in! I would put the motherboard in the case and draw lines where the IO pannel should be.
