son: Dad is a half an hour over yet?

me: well I don't know. when did it start?

son: um...five minutes ago.

me: well no, then a half an hour isn't over yet.

son: darn.

If you want to really mess him up, tell him half-hours are ending every minute. :D

Talk to him about dog years. Explain that dogs age seven human years in one year and that eight minutes seems like an hour. That's why dogs just think, "forget about it, I'm taking a nap." ;)

I've used the ”Before the Big Bang there was no time or space” speech several times. That keeps them thinking for a while.... Although I'm not sure what they think about.

Well eventually they are going to figure out you don't know anything about physics if you keep using that statement.:p
