controlling fan speed on pny 7900gs?

Just got the 7900gs from bb, and rivatuner's fan control doesn't seem to work. Anyone get it to work, or know of something that will? The fan revs up even when I just play a video or when the screensaver comes on, and then takes like 5 minutes to wind down. Ridiculous.

Thanks, did what they said and tried the 9128 drivers. Rivatuner still doesn't work, however now the fan doesn't rev up at all. I don't know if that's good or bad, but I guess as long as it doesn't overheat I'm good. I'm going to try it out now. Anyone else with this card lmk what's going on with yours, thanks.

If you're really that worried, throw on a VF-900 or something. I was using a NV Silencer Rev. 6+ramsinks on my card before it had to go back to eVGA, totally silent. Stock fan should rev up when temps go up, though.

Thanks again. I know the fan is supposed to rev up, and in games it's fine, but it's annoying every time media player starts to have the fan rev for 5 minutes. With these drivers the fan always stays the same though, and no lockups even overclocked. I guess I'll just run it like this till it explodes. No reason to spend a $40 cooler on a $130 card.
