Controller recommendations for PS3.

I am used to a mouse and a keyboard when playing games. I am almost ready to buy a PS3 but I want the best controller on the market. Is there a controller that is easiest to use than the one that comes with the console? Please excuse all my posts on the PS3 if I am starting too many. Thanks.

I don't know of any PS3 controllers that are better than the Dualshock 3, but I'd love to find one. I can tell you that the Nyko Zero is NOT better.

DualShock 3...or hook up a wireless keyboard/mouse. Unreal Tournament 3 supports it, and it's awesome.

The Dual Shock 3 is a pretty great design, I don't think you can find better than that, great d-pad, nice analogs, rumble, motion, it's all pretty great.

If you were buying an Xbox360 however... now that's a different story.

If he was buying an Xbox 360, he wouldn't need to ask about better controllers.
(Aside from the D-pad, if he's into the genres that use it heavily)

The old logitech wireless xbox controllers were TOP notch, they're like uber cheap now and easily modded for PC use. The D pad was phenomenal and the build quality, OMG i'm gonna go cuddle with mine.

Ergonomics are subjective, but as far as build quality, Sony controllers have always been rock solid for me.

Find something that is like the 360 controller. They are much more Ergonomically friendly then any play station controller.

This differs person to person. I hate the 360 controller, but I know many love it.

Differs from person to person. PS3 controller feels a ton better to me than the 360 controller.

I do prefer the PS3 controller over the 360 one but I said what I said because I don't think a controller can be called "good" unless it has a decent WORKING d-pad (which the 360 does not), it is used heavily in games like DMC4 and many, many 2D PSN/XBLA games, Street Fighter IV will suck on the 360...

Aside from that, the 360 is pretty comfortable and the build quality and feel of the controls is great, a bit big for my taste though (it's not like I have small hands either), if only it weren't for the wretched d-pad it would be a great controller (it actually is for some genres but I'm talking in general).

Yeah, you forgot to not do that?

Why are you leaving the PC? Are you tired of gaming?

If you are into fighters, you should invest in a quality arcade stick. I recommend the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 and the Virtua Stick Hi Grade.
