Controller Question (dpad)

Sooo...

Here's what i'm considering.. Do the mod on an original xbox 360 controller

OR

get a hori ex2 xbox pad


Does anyone have other recommendations? I need a working D-pad :mad:

isn't there a brand new xbox 360 controller revision with an improved dpad? the new silver one?

All that does is add a few specific connections for the diagonals IIRC. It never changed the "feel" of the d-pad which is the biggest problem.

If I were you OP, if you're serious about your fighters you should try a stick. It seems a little quirky at first, but if you get a good enough one it shouldn't take much time to get used to it. You then should be able to throw combos better than with a pad. It takes a much larger 'wrong move' to mess up a combo on a stick, where as a little flinch of the thumb can mess you up on a pad.

yea if you are asking about dpad for a fighter, just buy a joystick. the TE's have been on sale and can be found for $100 brand new pretty easily.

but if it's just a good dpad you want, then you wil have to buy a different console :)
