well i have a geforce 2 gts 32mb by asus ... and the manual reads it supports fast wrties.. and i have MSI 645 ultra ddr333 and i t also supports agp fast writes ,, but when i checked if it's enabled or disabled using power strip (latest ver) .. i found it was disabled ,, and when i try to check the box infront of this option ,,,i just can't ,,, and a msg ,, appears and reads that the video card support this option but the motherboard doens't ,,, although this motherboard is one of the best ...please help ,what do u think ???

ps: the bios doesn't have any access to such features in the motherboard ....so how can i control this feature in software mode ???

Fast writes appear to be also controlled by the Detonator drivers. i have successfully enabled fast writes and sidebanding on an Epox 8k3A with a little program called "GeforceTweakUtility". At the time, I was trying to improve my Morrowind FPS, and when I didn't see much change, I turned them back off. However, I did not experiment very thoroughly. Assuming that both of these features reduce stability in combination with overclocking your card (and the AGP bus), I would suggest testing different configurations with 3dmark and seeing which gives the best result, since I'm too lazy.
