And don't give me the "repost" crap, there's one big thread about Nomar and small mentions about Contreras. Where's the love for Esteban?!

Lol. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean everybody does :)

Everyone hates the Yankees. They just might not be aware of it yet.

Anyone who loves baseball hates the Yankees. If you like the Yankees then you hate the overall atmosphere of baseball and are a selfish and arrogant Yankee prick. ;)

The Yanks are a great team, no doubt. I'm a fan, was born & raised in the area. While I'm all for a salary cap, blaming the Yankees for doing as well as they can within the given ruleset is a very childish display of jealosy. Should the 90s Bulls have given Jordan to another team? Should the Cowboys have tanked games? They also did as well as they could within the given ruleset.

It's slightly different. Both those teams drafted and built the foundation of their teams from the ground up; the Yankees have simply snatch half the free agent market up over the past 3 years. Regardless, I really didn't like either of those teams either, especially the 90s Bulls. When you have no competition it gets boring.

Just watch Contreras become a monster pitcher with Chicago. The guy has great stuff, he just couldn't handle NY.

A great example is Soriano.

I think he meant that he couldn't handle the pressure of the postseason. Persoanlly, I think he was just going through a slump at that time. No one can really know.

Looks like I got Pwnd :)
However, his poor performance in the playoffs left a sour taste in my mouth.
I didn't check the numbers before I posted, but I guess I thought he was playing better because you hear about him a lot more this year.

his playoff numbers were so crappy the mistake is understandable. :p

he batted like ~.150 and stuck out 50 percent of the time..

Wow, first time I've seen a person that's not argued till the death even though they lost and have conceded defeat!!!!

I guess first times for everything!

 for you sek. =D

Agreed, the NY spotlight for some is just too overwhelming.
