Continual cache problems in firefox,chrome??

I have had continual cache reloading errors under firefox and chrome using Win 7. I have gone as far as installing a new HD and reloading Win7 from scratch. Does anyone have a fix for this or know why it is happening. Webpages just try to load then freeze. Thanks

are you sure you don't have a hardware problem? I don't see why firefox and chrome would freeze on a freshly installed Windows 7 (unless it only happens in specific web pages, in which case, maybe the problem is in those web pages)

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox(options ,then look in advanced section) ,this should rule out video/ driver issue.

I'm curious do you get this issue with Opera 20,also download(it's free) and run full scan of malwarebytes https://www.malwarebytes.org/

I would also run a memory test as well,memtest86+ is good http://www.memtest.org/ or use Win7 one http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/715-memory-diagnostics-tool.html

I would like the OP to clarify on a few of the terms he used in the original post:

"continual"? How is that?
"cache reloading errors"? What are those?
"reloading Win7 from scratch"? What exactly does that mean? Did you reinstall Windows 7?
"Webpages just try to load"? When exactly do they try to load?
"freeze"? What exactly is that?

I'm not trying to be pedantic, I honestly have no idea WHAT is actually happening. Because the way you put it could very well mean "Chrome and Firefox don't save webpages to their offline cache, using Windows 7. I installed an additional hard drive and they still do the same. I even restored Windows to a previous system restore point, but to no avail. Webpages just load and sit there, not reloading or crashing the computer in any way. Thanks."
