Nice job Platypus! I've always liked that octave fuzz, fits your style nicely Good job taking "A Minor Affair" another direction also, sounds competely different than my take.

I lost a ton of really cool stuff for the beginning thanks to Logic (ugh) so I had to redo the non-octave parts and I dont think they sounded as good as my original but that's recording for you

I've been busy. I haven't had a chance to record anything, but I've been improving 'a minor affair' and getting used to how it flows. I'll try and capture something good this weekend. I've got 3-4 melodies/themes written for it already. I might post several versions.

This is going to run for awhile, but no need to get it perfect...at least initially Several versions is a good idea too, and if you're not happy with something you post, I'll replace tracks with updated tracks...no problem.

Not weak at all. They cover alot of different ground, some pretty recognizable like "texas blues" is clearly based on zztop's LA grange. I think they're pretty good.

Please remember this is improv.. More or less searching for ideas and this is kinda how I log them. So there is some hesitation while I play from thinking out loud.

I think I hit two off key notes in the whole thing. You can tell because I frown when I do it.. pats self on back

Yea, I need an audio file to post your tracks to the OP. If you post the audio yourself, you'll have more control over the quality of the file, otherwise, I can extract audio from youtube videos, so no biggie.

I'll get a chance to check out your vid in the morning For the most part, my recordings are improved as well. LOL, I wish I only had a couple off key notes I'll replace your posted tracks if you go back and improve them, so don't worry about them not being perfect....."The Blues" is a pretty casual genre anyway, its not supposed to be perfect.

OK, I had a listen...very nice! You have excellent technique...very fluid. Liked it alot. :thumbsup:

Thanks!!! I'll try and do a better take sometime today or tomorrow. I'm going to learn some of the phrasing I liked in this current vid and hope to get some better passes at it. I know I'm playing traditional blues phrasing, but I am trying to play soulfully.
