Yes, definetly, just not in public areas - we believe people have a right to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm others or society at large.

And free healthcare doesn't mean there is no insurance compaines or that the state owns medical services. Just think of the state as providing the same option as your employer with regard to choosing your health insurance - everyone is eligible to participate in the "group" health insurance at the same rate (decided by a national committe) - and the state pays your premiums for the basic plan (but you choose the insurance comapnies and HMOs, and can pay extra for supplemental plans with more coverage. Kapish ?)

We are winning !!!

Once we're in power, we'll send a few NSA "problem solvers" to deal with people that opposed us...

Please do, your army of uber-nerds with their greasy hair, coke-bottle glasses and Star Trek badges would keep me entertained for months.

No, you're out of date - the official movie of this campaign is "The Matrix" !

I guess you can't stand the fact the we have defeated all the crackpots around here (bamavoo included). The public has spoken.

Would that be due to the blue pill, duracell-like mindless automatons of your proposed administration, or the campaign promise of "two helpings of the single cell amino acid, synthetic protein goo in every pot, and a sentinel in every garage"?

If, by defeated, you mean argued with on an Internet forum, then surely, victory must be yours, for you are the only obvious and worthy successor to George W. Bush; someone even more stupid.

Dopefiend: "surely, victory must be yours"

Need I say more ? let's conclude with another great quote:

Morpheus: "Don't think you can, know you can"

Someone above mentioned that "unless you graduated from Harvard and have strong political ties, you haven't got a chance" or something like that.

I believe that's true right up until the present time. No one should discount the power of word of mouth... certainly not when the internet is involved. I think it's only a matter of time before someone comes out of the woodwork and becomes as well known as Ross Perot as a 3rd candidate (and have at least as good a chance as he did.)

BUT, that's going to take being realistic, rather than considering it a joke. The thread I just quoted seems to indicate the latter, as does the Camp David with an intern remark.

That said, I propose a coup of your thread. Rather than vote for you for president, I nominate and make a motion that instead we endeavor to elect ME as president.
I'm sorry, I decline.

But, I think we could ACTUALLY find someone competent enough within the ranks here at AT to make a serious run at President. 4 years is a long time for campaigning... Look at how well known Star Wars kid is... even the Tron guy made it onto Letterman (or Leno)... The internet can be an extremely powerful tool to gain fame (and/or notoriety)

You have inspired me to run for president as well.

I'll be running on the BAN user1234 platform.

Who's with me?

While I didn't vote for you, at least you're acting like a politician:

First you say "standing for personal liberty above all", then you say "As for taxes, why not increase them for the richest 1%" - good contradictory politics.

You seem to be obsessed with following me, don't you have anything better to do, or were you finally dismissed from your chimney cleaning job ?

No matter what you say, the silent majority has decisively chosen me.

Oh yeah, a chimney cleaner would definitely have an Army background and computer certifications. ;)

It's hard NOT to follow you around when you attention whore yourself around the forums. :p And, to tell you the truth, I want to be there when you fall upon your virtual sword... and to see all the silly statements you make along the way... this post being one of them.
