I wore glasses for 15 years and then when I went to the eye doctor with my girl friend, he said, "Try a pair of contacts". I was sold! Even though it felt like there was something in my eye. My girlfriend puts them in and takes them out for me. I wear the soft disposable and leave them in for 2 or 3 weeks as a time. I use to wear the Johnson and Johnson Acuview, but switched to the American contact lenses. I like them better, but they are thinner.

Once I was at the eye doctor and the nurse told me to take out my contacts. I told her that I can't and she started to laugh at me. I made one of my sad pouting looks and we went out to dinner that night. Had a really great :) time.

I have 20/40 vision in one eye and 20/400 vision in the other. If I get my contacts confused I know it. LOL.

Dont you hate those times when you are in a hurry to get your contacts out and they refuse to come?

Or you get one contact out of your eye and suddenly have to use the bathroom so bad you can barely hold it?

I don't wear them, but a friend of mine does. He got lazy one time and didn't take them out before he went to sleep. He had to go to school the next day so he left them in. He said his eyes were dry or something. That night, he tried to take them out but they wouldn't come out. He got scared at first, but then he just put some eye drops in there and then they came out.

Another funny thing was when we were on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico. It was really windy outside (as opposed to inside, which would be weird since we were on a boat) and he was telling me about his expensive colored contacts. The wind dried an eye out and blew the contact into the sea. HAHA.

My contacts have that little blue tint and my eyes have little color so they change color based on what they are reflecting. My contacts make my eyes seem a little blue as well.

Ive had the soft contacts for about 4 years now. I don't have any worthwhile stories that haven't been said already so I will share so info. I do use teh multipurpose solution to store my lenses in overnight, that is the only thing I do to clean them, yes I am very lazy. I change my contacts after about a month or whenever they start bothering me. I have noticed that my contacts can seem loose after spending a few hours on the computer, maybe my refresh rate is suck, does anyone hve this problem?

I have had gas permeables for the past 5 years, without many problems. Overall I find them comfortable. If they get really dry, it sucks, but other than that no problems. Easy to keep clean for me, I just put them in solution at night. And it only takes me 30 seconds to get them out. Guess I'm lucky or something.
