Contact lenses

This is my first time wearing contact lenses

My first trial pair that I received on the day of my visit were ALMOST perfect...except they were a tad too big for my eyeballs.

So they ordered me a pair (supposedly with the same prescription) that fits. When they finally arrive, I put them on and noticed something was not right. Everything small seems blurry as hell (especially this text I'm typing, in a 1028x720 resolution).

I'm wondering if the eyecare provider did something wrong, or will it take my eyes a while to adjust??

Yeah check if they are inside out. Look at the box that they came in - do the left/right eye powers match what you previously had? I would make a follow-up appointment also just to make sure that they didn't screw anything else up.

Sounds like somebody screwed up your prescription. Wear you lenses for 8 hours or so. If you don't feel comfortable after that, talk to your doctor.
