I have pretty bad vision... I'm about a -4.0 in each eye so my glasses are on at all times. When I was younger, I tried contact lenses and could NEVER get them in. My eyes were just too sensitive, as were my eyelids and my hands weren't cooperating. I gave up.
Ok, 10 years later I tried contacts again. Woohoo! I got them in my eyes. I tried about 5-6 different pairs until I was comfy with what I put in. O2 Optix, Acuvue, Focus Dailes, Night & Day, etc. Well I found myself having to water my eyes every 3-4 hours or they seemed to get very dry. I also work at a computer all day so sometimes my vision would blur with the contacts in. Wearing the contacts outdoors was fine, but indoors became a nightmare. Honestly, I never found ONE brand that worked for me. I could get away with wearing them, but it felt as though my eyes rejected everything.
I do have a slight astigmatism in my right eye, but the doc never suggested Toric lenses.
Should I go in and try again? I'd love to be able to forget about glasses!
Any similar experiences out there?
