I swapped to a new pair of lenses just to be sure it wasn't the contact. It's the same kind I've been ordering for the past 2 years. My right eye is messing with me; is it possible that it could have grown in size or something? I'm 20 years old, with astigmatism. Left eye is perfect but the right eye gives me this watery feeling.

:(

Did you try not wearing contacts for a couple of days? Perhaps you have something in your eye that needs to get processed by your body? When I get that feeling and I know it isn't my contacts, I stop wearing them for a bit, then go back, good as new!

It's likely there is something small in your eye or there is a very small scratch. Don't wear that contact for 2-3 days and then try again. If it's still there, I'd visit your optometrist.

Swap contacts - left into right and right into left (unless you have different prescriptions? I have a bit of astig as well but same OD and OS)

When I'm tired contacts are just uncomfortable even if it is a fresh pair

When I get home a lot of times I will just take my contacts out and put on glasses.

You are not wearing them overnight I'm assuming.

Also if I am staying home all day like Saturdays I'll just wear glasses all day and just put on contacts if I'm going out at night.

It's possible that you have some grit, an eyelash or air pocket under the lens. Take it out, clean it, wet it with solution and put it back in to see if there's any improvement.

Check to see if there is a tear in the lens. It's rare, but sometimes you can get a small corner piece of the lens ripped off. It doesn't impact your vision but it makes the lens very uncomfortable. In this case, replace the lens obviously.

Finally, how often do you clean your lens case? It's a good idea to use hydrogen peroxide and a cotton ball, followed by lens solution and a cotton ball, to wipe out your case. Do this every 1-2 months. Replace the case with a new one every year or if you get a new one with your solution.

Conjunctivitis? Try not wearing lenses for a couple weeks see if it clears up.

I'd listen to your body and stop wearing contacts for the time being. Have you had an eye exam in the past year? If not, you have a great reason to get one now. Even if you have, I'd still get your eyes checked out as you don't want to screw around with your eyesight.

Added detail: this happened after I started wearing only-glasses for like a month. Only wore contacts like 2 days. Maybe eyes got used to being 'free'?

watery feeling?

or like something in your eye, right?

so even after wearing them for 2 days, you still get this feeling?
if so, i'd hit up your local eye doc.

peace!
