If a company shipped you a bunch of items that you did not order and they arrive at your home what is the customer required by law to do? Are you allowed to keep the items, pay for the items, or store the items until they can be reclaimed?

Don't know what the laws are, but do the ethical thing and call the company and let them know what happened.

Lets say they ignored you for 3 weeks after you called them and let them know they made a mistake and completely blew you off over the phone. And lets assume it was a lot of parts. Basically what I'm wondering is what are the laws.

Yeah I know that the parts were attempted to be returned, but I'd rather be within the laws when doing something.

If you attempted just once to return them and they blew you off. I don't see how you even have an ethical responsibilty to return them.. much less a legal responsibility.

As I understand it, if you were shipped merchandise that you did not order, the law considers it a gift and you can keep it.
