I'm considering getthing the Sonic Blue Rio Volt SP90 mainly for use in my car so I'm hunting for opinions. I'd rather get the new Teac player (MP330) that is completely made for 3.5" CDs (the small ones) but I'm having trouble finding a CDN source for it. I'm going to get a little FM Transmitter from the Shack to use it with in my car so I can hide it out of sight and also not have to mod my dash board.

There has to be someone here @AT who either has this player or has used this player.

Hey Thorin --

Regardless of whether price is an issue, I would recommend you spring for the SP100 99 out of 100 times. The reason? It's firmware upgradeable. Rio has stopped updating the firmware for the SP100, but the final update, IMO, puts the SP100 on par with the latest SP250 model. In any event, I have the SP100 and am very happy with it... it should be available quite cheaply, and either an FM transmitter or a simple tape deck adapter would work perfectly for car audio. Let us know what you decide,

you can use the sp100 firmare on the sp90 just fine.

If works great with the sp100 firmware. My mom is quiet happy with it. I have all three models

sp90, sp100, sp250
