So Tom Coburn of Oklahoma just called for a constitutional convention. Since Mark Levin released his book "The Liberty Amendments" there's been buzz about a convention in conservative circles.

Frankly, I don't see why liberals would be necessarily against it. I've seen some of them saying it would be an opportunity to reverse SC rulings they dislike such as Citizens United.
I think it'd be good just because it'd have (hopefully) a jarring effect on an otherwise complacent citizenry. Furthermore, I don't like the idea of treating a piece of paper as sacred, nor a group of men, however visionary and brilliant, as demigods.
